How to Catch a Leprechaun

Adam Wallace's How to Catch a Leprechaun is a cheeky rhyming picture book for 5 year olds, told by the very leprechaun you're trying to trap.

What happens

St Patrick's Day is near, the streets are quiet, and he's here. He tells you exactly what he's planning. Pull out all your laces. Put glitter in your hair. Turn your toilet GREEN!

Then he goes from house to house, checking out everyone's traps. A shoebox on a stick? Please. An iron cage? Clever, but he's far too quick. He polishes off the nuts left out as bait and helps himself to the dandelion tea.

The traps get bigger and sillier, right up to a whole house turned into one giant trap. The Leprechaun Be Gone 3000 does give him a bit of a scare, though.

He's so pleased with himself. He's 200 years old, after all (and he'd like you to know it). That swagger is what makes it such fun to read out loud.

Then the ending hands it over to your reader. Could they be the brilliant child who finally designs the perfect trap?
