We have partnered with teachers, librarians and industry experts to create an app that rewords and tracks the progression of your childs reading journey. Recommending books based on your childs current reading level, likes and dislikes to inspire the love of reading.

With easy access to over 100,000 titles, our Readingmate app will recommend new books for your child to read. Our reccomendations are be based on your childs favourites and reading history alongside our unique, industry expert magic that takes the guesswork out of finding an enjoyable and challenging book.

The benefits of reading for children

  • Reading to children at age 4-5 every day has a significant positive effect on their reading and cognitive skills. This benefits their language, literacy and numeracy skills. As well as overall cognition both now and later in life.
  • Reading to children 3-5 days per week (compared to 2 or less) develops their reading skills. In fact, it can develop to that of a child six months older!
  • 16-year-olds who choose to read books for pleasure outside of school benefit too. For instance, they are more likely to secure managerial or professional jobs in later life.
  • School performance of children who are read to on a regular basis between the age of 4-5 is better. Plus, they achieve higher scores on the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests. For both Reading and Numeracy!
  • Children who read books often at age 10 and more than once a week at age 16 gain higher results in maths, vocabulary and spelling tests than those who read less regularly.
