Frozen 2: A Tailor-Made Surprise is a funny dressing-up story for 5 year olds, with Olaf and Sven on a mission to look smart for their queen.
Anna is about to unveil a statue of her mum and dad. Olaf decides the boys should ALL dress up to show how much she means to them (he says it was Sven's idea). But nobody has ever made an outfit for a snowman or a reindeer!
Oaken's shop doesn't quite work out. So a tailor called Karl uses whatever's lying about. Sven gets the striped curtains tied round his neck in a big bow. Olaf gets pantaloons and a waistcoat made from a footstool cushion.
A lot of the fun is Olaf "translating" Sven's grunts and snorts. Who knew a reindeer had so much to say? Elsa doesn't appear, so this one belongs to the boys. It's short enough to read aloud in one go.
Anna's queen here and engaged to Kristoff, which is where the second film leaves things. If your reader hasn't watched it yet, this gives that bit away.
If they love a royal dressing-up drama, Cinderella: My Perfect Wedding has the mice snipping a scrap from the bride's gown to stitch her a secret veil.
