Sally Nicholls is a British author known for her emotionally compelling and thought-provoking children’s and young adult novels. Born in 1983 in Stockton-on-Tees, England, she developed a passion for storytelling from a young age. She studied Philosophy and Literature at the University of Warwick before completing a master’s degree in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University. Her debut novel, Ways to Live Forever (2008), won the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and established her as a notable voice in contemporary fiction. Nicholls’ works often explore themes of love, loss, and resilience, resonating deeply with readers. Beyond writing, she enjoys history, folklore, and spending time with her family in Oxford.
