Philip Reeve is a British author best known for his award-winning Mortal Engines series, a thrilling blend of steampunk and adventure set in a futuristic world where cities move on wheels. Born in 1966 in Brighton, England, Reeve initially worked as an illustrator before turning to writing. His storytelling is marked by rich world-building, compelling characters, and imaginative narratives. Beyond Mortal Engines, he has penned other acclaimed works, including the Railhead series and Here Lies Arthur, which won the Carnegie Medal. Reeve’s books often explore themes of technology, history, and humanity with a unique, thought-provoking style. When not writing, he enjoys art and nature, living in Dartmoor, England, with his family.
