Frozen 2: The Official Portrait is a funny little castle story for 5 year olds about Anna trying hard to sit still for a royal painting.
Sitting still was never Anna's strong point. Now Alf the court painter is back with his son Finn, and she's sure it'll be easier this time.
It isn't! Kai rolls in a cart of papers to sign. Then the new troops need inspecting. Olaf gets SO excited about afternoon tea that he trips, and the tea ends up all over Anna's dress.
Poor Alf. When Sven turns up, the reindeer sniffs the paints, sneezes, and goes skating through the mess. Will the painting ever get finished?
Little listeners will spot the next interruption coming a mile off, and there are noisy words like THUD and FLASH to say with feeling. Most lines are short bits of chat, so a newer reader can manage a lot of it (a few long words might need a hand).
Nothing frightening happens. It's all mess and muddle. It's set after the second film, so it'll make most sense to children who've seen it.
If this one goes down well, Belle's Tea Party is another cosy day indoors at a castle, with a party dress and a tea party that little Chip gets to help with.
