A farmer down the lane sees a golden blur in the sky and a circle of sheep spinning on the grass, and phones a television company to report a UFO abduction. Two young men in a flashy yellow sports car want that phone back very badly, because one of them hacked a bank with it. And the sheep think they are on a holy mission.<\/p>\n
Three sets of people, three completely different stories, all chasing the same object. It’s a proper farce and it never once explains the joke.<\/p>\n
The sheep are the best bit. Sal is pompous. Jaycey faints at the sight of blood and worries about her hooves. Links talks entirely in a rap he seems to have picked up somewhere. Oxo just wants to know when the cauliflower is coming. Wills is the only sensible one and gets ignored a lot, which will feel familiar to any younger sibling.<\/p>\n
Sal does describe what the villainous ram would do to sheep who disobey him, including giving them to the dogs, so there’s a bit of dark threat in the prophecy. It’s said in the same daft register as the rest and passes quickly.<\/p>\n
If they enjoy animals running an operation the humans know nothing about, try Chaos in Cluckbridge, where a squad of trained chickens go after a cobra that has picked its own lock and let itself out of the zoo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
