I often found that the children who always had a book on the go were the ones halfway through a series. And there wasn’t a panic when it came to library lessons because they’d just pick up where they’d left off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What a series does for an 8 year old<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
A good thing to look out for with a series is ensuring that the first book can work by itself. So if they get to the end and decide it’s not for them, they don’t feel disappointed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
